Take measurements just to be sure, but generally the space above the sofa can accommodate a piece that is 48 x 60 in. or larger. Diagnosis: Slip covered furniture (slipcover available from Pottery Barn) can remind one of those films that take place at the turn of the twentieth century recounting the lives of patrician families that leave the city for the summer and have everything covered with white drop cloths.
